My lovely daughter and I got together to knit today. As part of our conversation, we talked about the pervasive and invasive subject of people feeling the need to weigh in on other people's weight. For dinner tonight, I made roasted chicken, bok choy and mushrooms, cucumber salad, green salad, and peaches with cream. The best part? Hanging out and catching up with my pal, Anna. It seems as though we all get so busy and don't see each other as often as we'd like. It was nice to sit and talk and enjoy good food and wine. I love my friends. :)

Another monster has justified murder based on his own twisted reasons of faith. Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas doctor who has run a woman's health and abortion clinic for many years, was gunned down this morning. I've been following updates on Pharyngula (links to news stories included). My heart goes out to the loved ones of Dr. Tiller.
